Gray Ghost Over Green

Ninety plus per cent of the time my Northern Harrier shots are of the brown (female) variety.  This is because females can outnumber males by 10 to 1.  So when I spot a male “Gray Ghost” at the Ridgefield NWR, and get a shot of it, I’m a happy camper.  This image was taken April 8, 2016.  Raptor numbers have dwindled at the refuge since Winter ended so it was a real treat to see and photograph this bird.
