This almost grown Bald Eagle was perched on a branch in the Ash Tree forest of the Ridgefield NWR, April 4, 2017. Here the bird is stretching its wing and foot. It’s within a year of becoming a fully matured Bald Eagle. I love seeing these birds make it to adults!
